Machinecraft Plans Pf1-X Thermoforming Demonstration at Npe 2027
Machinecraft outlines its PF1-X demonstration in Orlando, with servo automation, heavy-gauge forming and an ex-show machine offer subject to availability.
Machinecraft is preparing a PF1-X demonstration for NPE 2027 and lists stand W791 in the West Building. The exhibition takes place on 3–7 May at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. The company’s presentation combines a machinery demonstration with an offer to purchase the exhibition unit after the event.
The advertised PF1-X configuration has a 1,000 × 1,200 mm working area, accommodates sheet between 2 and 12 mm thick, and uses ten servo-controlled axes. Machinecraft describes automatic sheet feeding, adjustable clamping and zoned infrared heating. Its quoted cycle of less than 30 seconds depends on the part; it should not be read as a guaranteed rate for every application.

A useful exhibition visit starts with a defined part. Bring a drawing, the intended polymer grade, starting sheet thickness and the dimensions that matter in assembly. Surface finish, trimming requirements and acceptable variation belong in the same discussion. This gives the engineering team a concrete basis for selecting tooling and planning a trial.
Ask which stages are included in any stated cycle time. Loading, heating, forming, cooling and removal should be discussed together, alongside the operator’s tasks. For an existing product, compare the proposed sequence with the process currently used at your plant. For a new product, agree how sample quality will be assessed before treating a successful demonstration as production approval.

Changeovers deserve a separate conversation. A machine may run one component efficiently yet require a different setup for another sheet format or tool. Ask the supplier to explain the adjustments, handling equipment and checks involved. The aim is to understand the complete job change, including what the production team must do between batches.
Machinecraft says the demonstration machine is intended to remain in the United States after NPE. Its page currently marks the booking period as closed and directs enquiries to the company. Price, remaining availability and delivery arrangements therefore require confirmation; the page does not provide a public sale price.
Before arranging a purchase, request a written configuration and clarify the scope of installation, training, tooling and acceptance trials. Record who is responsible for each step and which costs are included. These questions help turn an exhibition discussion into a specification that both the supplier and the buyer can use.
